Product Development is a function of the Technical Services Department (TSD). TSD is
tasked to receive all the latest technical information and documents from clients that
are relevant to the manufacturing and packaging as well as the quality control of components,
in-process and finished products.
The major steps undertaken in product development are:
Master Documentation: A standard batch size is determined for each product and a
corresponding master document is prepared. Master Document covers manufacturing and
packaging operations. Product Routings or processes, Bill of Materials, and specific
material codes are encoded with utmost security in the FAMAS (Financial and Management
System). TSD serves as the Custodian of all Master Files of technical documents, test
methods, and specifications.
Coordination with client's headquarters and/or representative for technical assistance
in relation to the manufacturing or packaging of products.
- Provision of technical support in start-up and scale-up production processes.
